Hey Guys,

Helping a friend clean out the old farm house that has seen better days after a roof collapse last winter. We we finally got the guns out and there is a new in box Browning Sweet 16 buck barrel gun that my friend never got around to use. Still had the cosmoline on it.

I got it home to safe keep it for him and noted some rust starting on the barrel and the receiver so I cleaned it up the packing grease and that rust came right off without much effort, but there is a bit of rust on the part where the tang from the receiver attaches to the top of the butt stock. Taking it to my gunsmith to see what he thinks we should do with it.

It is just so nice to see one of these new, I think he got it in the 80s. No pics of it cleaned up yet.

Nope, I was surprised when he pulled it out. There is a new A Bolt in 7mm Mag as well, but that didn't fair as well. There is rust on the metal and the stock has whitened. Working on getting that one cleaned up as well.
