Having bought my SPR 310 S last August and then be called away for work, I couldn't wait to give it a try… well, after a 2 month hiatus, I finally got my chance.
It worked superbly!! My first round of trap was so-so, the second round better, the third round-I shot the best round of my life. In fact, unbeknown to me, I was being watched by the club president and range master who, after finishing the round, asked, "to see the gun that never misses".
Regarding some of the problems I have read about … I had none. After only 25 rounds the action loosened up, I never had a misfire, or any clogging of the ports. In sum, it was a wonderful experience and I am d--- glad I bought it.

The one thing I did notice but adjusted to … was that I needed to point the gun much lower than I am accustomed to (even for sport models)… changing the front bead might be something to do in the future, but I will shoot a few more before I make any decision.

I also bought the 310 12Ga about a week ago and will be shooting some clays this weekend; can't wait!

I noticed the break is little easier to open and close after some oil. I'm curious as to how the guns break will be after a few rounds.....

I bought one last month, I lubed the action lightly with breakfree before starting. Took it to the sporting clay range. We did two courses after 25 rounds the action was breaking open good. After 50 rounds it was real smooth. By the end of the course the gun wasn't missing a beat. I felt like I had been shooting it for years, and was hitting every clay, well except those dang rabbit ones!!

Well everyone, I finally had a chance to get my SPR-310/20 out yesterday. We ran 300 rounds of trap at the local sportsman's club. I couldn't be more pleased so far with the performance of this shotgun. Every thing works the way a decent O/U should. The slight cast off fits my frame well. The barrel selector trigger didn't miss a beat although is a little stiff. Breaking the gun open is for sure a real chore at first although it's getting better already. Some of my friends shot 25 and were impressed with this shotgun regarding handling and pointabilty. Over all first time out an A+ experience. My friend has a Browning Citori 20 and his comment was "this is a decent o/u 20 for 400 bucks." I can tell already that I'm going to like this gun as much as my MP153 auto… Can't wait to shoot some live birds! I'll be surprised if these O/U's are not a best seller for Remington.
