New Turkish shotgun

Here are some new Turkish Shotguns of good quality.
This is the new Carina AS 12 hunting shotgun by Derya.
They have grade 2 Turkish Walnut stocks, choke set, 28 in. barrel & 3 in. chamber.
The guns test out real well with no problems at all after around 400 rounds of mixed ammo.
Should be under 5 bills at the store.

We just got back from a duck hunt at the central Alabama Foul preserve and 4 of us used the new Carina AS-12 shotguns. I believe we got 13 Mallards. I will try and post some photos below.

How much are you selling these Carina A12s for?

I saw them listed for $295 on one site.

I've checked out some of the marketing on these guns and they really need to hire an American marketing agent to create a more professional presence. Just cleaning up the English will help and not emphasizing quality in every sentence will not make me wonder about the quality.

These are nice looking guns!
Sorry I did not respond. Shotgun world does not let you use my hotmail for email and i used another email to tell me there is a response.
-- We distribute them to wholesalers right now and they sell them to the dealers. They sell for around 450. If they are on a site for 295 they have never had them in stock.
We have provided them to a couple of hunting shows and done some test videos with them. Mostly duck hunts and skeet shooting. They do use a 2 piston system to reduce recoil with heavy loads. We have some test guns with around 850 rounds through them. We did shoot a couple of cases of Rio 3 inch, 1 3/4 oz. shells through a test gun with no issues. They are in the process of getting some magazine reviews and registering the models with Blue book. If you would like a dealer in your area pm me a zip code and I can help. Oh, Jay from ShotgunWorld does have one and uses it. He is who we went to the waterfowl preserve with and to Delta duck hunts in MS with. Hope that was helpful.

Good another under 500 dollar shotgun that shows some promise. Nice wood too. I just bought an ATI (American tactical imports) Diff. company, it seems there are 3 of you ati guys out there, two importers, and one stock maker.

My ATI seems like a new company, not much web presence, and don't seem to promote as well as you guys, nor do they offer a wood version of their shotgun. Anyway I'm leaving to test out the one I just bought in a few minutes.

Thought I would ask a couple quick questions before I leave. Is there a 20 gauge version of your shotgun? Why do you guys go through a middle man as in distributer instead of direct sales to sellers? Seems it would be less expensive for the consumer in the end.

I think Allen may be mistaking your ATI with the one I just bought, that's about the price of the American tactical imports home defense auto out there.

Thanks Mike
Hey Mike,
Yes we have the ability to make all models in 20 but , we do not stock them.

There is no difference in price to the dealer. Distributors are better for us because they will typically buy entire shipments as apposed to 2-3. We do have some house accounts for dealers. Dist. do not mark up much at all and the prices sold to them are augmented per the volume. Basically the Dist. beats the **** out of the vendor for the best price, then they buy all of them. That relationship has no affect on the end customer.
MIKE - I want to ask you something.
I want to know what the gas piston looks like on your new gun. Can you take a photo or describe it to me. I know it is a pain in the *** to post photos & videos on here. Tell me if it has 1 ring or 2 and if the rings are flat or round. I am curious about it.

Thanks,
Ben

No problem taking the pix, Ill have it up Monday, I'm going to do a review of the shotgun up in opinion anyway under "oh no another 500 dollar shotgun, nope 360" Give you a sneak preview. I really like it, no fail to fire's no feed problems very light, and before I patterned it was smoking clays right out of the box, although that could be me, I'm such a good shot  Mine earned its place in the line up of dove guns this year.

I get the distributer thing now, thanks. If I was a dealer and I came across a new shotgun that looked like yours, and turned out to be incredible, which I see you guys think yours is, I would stock ten of them at once. Not handling one myself yet, I cant say. But I think you guys are going down the right track actually using and liking them.

How about a nice light weight 16 gauge on a 20 gauge frame for 450 {hs# I don't have a 16 gauge auto, YET.....
Mike
You were shooting clay targets with a tactical shotgun? Sounds like you may have some skill. It should get better and better the more you shoot it. Like seasoning a good pipe. I will defiantly read your review.

Here as promised the gas valve from my ATI, looks like it has one ring. I did shoot it and worked perfect, didn't use any three inch shells though

Looking forward to reading reviews of your shotguns, I enjoy your videos
Mike
That is a good heavy duty looking piston. Thanks for the photo. Some are thinner looking than yours is. I think your going to be happy. The ones Derya makes for us come in 2 different diameters. The short barreled guns have a larger diameter piston than the field guns.
