There is no such thing as "rifled sabot slugs"....
There are "rifled slugs" (also referred to a "slugs" or "Foster slugs"), and they are intended to be used in smoothbore guns.
Then, there are "sabots", and they are intended to be used in rifled barrels.
You can interchange the uses, but shooting rifled slugs in a rifled barrel will result in mediocre accuracy and severe leading. Shooting sabots in a smoothbore barrel will not cause any significant barrel fouling, but will have very poor accuracy.
