I already have a remington 870, 2 A5s, a 38 S&W, a .25 acp raven (cheapie). What type and model of gun do you suggest i add to my collection. A 22 maybe? Just looking for opinions :D
P.S. the week before i saw a 12 gauge 1100 with 2 barrels and a hard and soft case going for $400, but when i got to it it was gone. I hate missing out on deals (exept got Raven for $25) :D

Every kid on the block has to have a least one .22 rimfire........
.................even us older ones!
Turned 63 today and I got 3 of them.
i would get a 22 or what ever ur heart desires.i might be getting a 22 savge mark ll for christmas with synthetic stock.
Happy Birthday WB :B3

RemBrown . . . How about a ruger mark II or a single six or a 10/22? None will break the bank and are fun to shoot.
No gun owner is well equipped without a .22 RF handgun. A larger target type gun or pocket sized plinker, or both is a must to round out your stock. Since you already have the Raven .25, you may want a larger .22.

If a pocket .22 is what you want, consider the stablemate of your Raven. I inherited a Phoenix Arms model HP.22 RF a few years ago. It is a neat little gun, looks good, inexpensive yet well made, goes bang every time and shoots where you look. I recommend it to anyone wanting a reasonably priced .22. And the best part? It's actually made in the USA, not China or Brazil.
Thanks for all the replies. I've been looking at Rimfirecentral.com for a while. I love how cheap ammo is for those things. I would love to get a 22 pistol but in NC i would have to get another permit :x . Anybody have a beretta bobcat? I like how the barrel flips up and i'm interested in one.

I have a "Tomcat" in .32 and an older 950BS in .25. Both are barrel tip-up models, the Tomcat is a double action and the 950BS single action. My Tomcat has a heavy, long trigger pull which must be close to 15lbs. The narrow width of the trigger doesn't help this either. The Bobcat will be smaller than my Tomcat, about the size of my 950BS, but I would expect a similar trigger pull.

The Tomcat came with a malformed lip on the magazine which led to some feeding problems. Rather than return it, I fixed the problem myself and it runs fine now. Aside from the trigger pull of the Tomcat, I like both guns.
Thanks, after reading alot of reviews on 22 pistol and rifles, i'm just leaning towards a rifle because of what i'll be doing with it
personally, I don't care much for .22RF
Jeez banshee, not everybody on here has a .50BMG  Come on, show us a pic of that bad boy

BT
I'm thinking about something in .458 LOTT or maybe .500 Jeffery.
Holy Cow, Banshee... we aren't made of money, either.
Shooting stuff like the 458, 500 or 50BMG will either break ya buying shells or will make a person appreciate reloading...QUICK!

A 22 rifle is one of the most fun things to own and one of the cheapest to feed. Something like the Ruger 10/22 can be altered until it don't look anything like it was to start with and still be a very accurate piece of equipment.

You have to have a permit for handguns in NC ? I didn't know about that. Thankfully my CCW is OKAY down there.

I handload

@ huntswithdogs.. What part of South West VA are you in?
I'm going to have to say +1 for a Ruger 10/22. I don't own one, but I've played with them a few times and they're great little rifles. I've also got a Glenfield Model 60(same as Marlin Model 60) and that is an ACCURATE little gun.
Banshee,
I'm from up around Roanoke.

Got one of those Marlins myself. Can drive tacks with that thing. If you can see it, you can shoot it, just about. Very, very accurate rifle.
