Marland or anyone else... I know this is not a shotgun but internet searches have turned uip nill on this gun. It is a Savage Model 6, .22 Long Rifle Auto I don't really care about the value, because it was my granddads. It has no dates, or serial numbers there is a patent number of 2094577. I will give myself 10 lashes with a wet noodle for asking a rifle question on the great shotgun site! :p

Thanks
John

Thanks Marland, the story behind the gun is my grandfather, when my pops was a little boy used to shoot magnolia blossoms out of a huge magnolia tree, and dad would catch em before they hit the ground, while they squirel hunted. Kinda has significance as my granddad is not doing real well right now, allthough he has killed a deer already this year :D Anyhow my dad is 63 now almost 64 and my grandad is in his mid 80's.

Thanks for the info, I figured it was made around the mid 40's because it was newer at that point in time.

Thanks again
John
