:?: I have an old 1100 remington, 4 digit serial number, that has a spiral wound metal ring instead of a rubber o-ring, I was wondering if the new replacement barrels that use o-rings would work on this shotgun? TIA

Spiral wound metal ring? Is it a Remington barrel? Curious, what is the serial number?

It is a Remington barrel, probably original, gun ser. # 21xxV. It has cycled every load so far, target or game. The gun had virtually no use it appeared, just had unfortunate storage, and wasn't pretty any more. I was surprised o see the metal ring there instead of the o-ring like the 11-87 has.
