Took the scull boat out today and we brought back 18 birds, including 2 Canada Geese, mostly ringneck drakes, a hoody hen (that will be added to a drake for a pair mount), some gadwalls, and a drake bufflehead. This was much better than the day before when the attempt on a pair of drake red breasted mergansers was botched by a fellow scull boater in his attempt at a goldeneye. Which he finally did manage to kill.Tomorrow for the last stab at ducks, back to the scaup in the am, some odds and end divers in the middle and a woody shoot in the pm.
