I got the info. from a Lyman "Black Powder Loading Manual"
2-3/4" shells cut to 2-1/2" (Winchester AA hulls)
De-primed an sized
Primed-Winchester 209
80grs.(by volume) Goex FF Black Powder
1- .125 over powder card
1- .50 fiber wad (cut to .250) .50 too long for star crimp
1oz. #8 lead shot
1- over shot card(probably don't need with star crimp)
According to lyman this should produce abou 1400psi.
It will be shot out of a damascus barrel SxS in good condition.

Any opinions or suggestions appreciated

if you are going to shoot it in cowboy action that might be a little stout . I use 45 gr for cowboy shooting but I use 60 for clays shooting. It the birds are farther out I bump it up to 75 and that gets er done.

I also use lubed cushion wads and that keeps the plastic snot out of the barrel = less cleaning.

I load 35 grains volume 2f Goex in a aa hull with a pink claybuster wad and 1 oz. of 7 1/2 shot- to keep the fouling down- I clean the barrels with balistol and water mixture- then run a couple of patches of Thompsons Bore Butter through , after a session or two the bore butter seasons the bore-
good luck
