just find a load using a good wad and use enough choke------with 1 1/8 you will have to stay at 1200 or less with rd

at what yardage----something happens at about 25 yards, from there back you need the i's dotted and t's crossed

Try 19 gr Red Dot, Rem Fig 8 wad. Use 1 1/8 oz of magnum #8 up to 22 yards, #7 1/2 from 23 to 27 yards. This load should give you 1200 f/s with 10,100 psi of pressure. If you feel that you need 1255 f/s like the "HDCP Dr.Eq." on the Win AA Handicap load boxes then you need to switch to a slower powder like Green Dot.

Cross check against your Alliant Reloader's Guide or click =>http://www.alliantpowder.com to get to Alliant's website and their on-line guide.

I prefer Hodgdon Int'l clays for my 1 1/8 oz 1200 to 1255 f/s loads.

Try 1oz of 8's and a Green Duster wad and bump your charge to 17.5-18 grains of Red Dot. Works OK for me at 27 yards.

If you plan on using 1 1/8oz---switch to a slower powder.
