Well, it depends....on many things.

1. How many ounces of shot in the shell
2. What size shot
3. What choke in the gun
4. The size of the target
5. Whether you hit the target with the center of the pattern or the edge of it
6...........

Well, I could go on, but there is no point.

Maybe you need to refine your question, and be more specific about what you want to know and why.

Gun is Win. SX2 26"bbl invector plus chokes

IC is getting me around 50% in a 30" circle at 30 yds w/ 1 1/4oz #5 lead.

same 50 % for #7.5s

Is this "loose" I need to compare w/ another gun and didn't have the time to do so yesterday. Shots were centered perfectly.

IC should give you about 50% in a 30" circle at 40 yards.

50% at 30 yards seems a little tight, but there is a lot of variation from gun to gun and shell brand to another brand.

REVISED: Oops! I meant to say it seems loose, not tight.

I own a Browning Gold Stalker. Compared to my other guns with the same type of choke. It shoots really open/loose. I have gone to a much tighter choke for all types of shooting.
SX2 is very similar to the Browning, at least that is what I'm told.
