I don't like recoil. I use a Remington 11-87 gas operated gun in 20 gauge for all my shooting, even duck and goose hunting. I have a ventilated poly-choke. With the combination of a 20 gauge that weighs nearly 7 pounds, a gas operated auto, and a ventilated choke I get almost no recoil even with 3 inch shells. I patterned my bosses 12 gauge Benelli the other day with 3 inch shells. I forgot how hard a 12 gauge kicks. It almost knocked my shoulder out of socket. And this is with their new stock design that is supposed to reduce felt recoil.
