I bought an old s.g. at auction which Raimey helpfully identified the proof markings for me. "German made that passed thru the Zella Mehlis proof facility in November 1923 that was built with Belgians LLH components."
It does not break in the traditional manor, but a segment containing the firing pin rises to load and remove spent shells. Does this mechanism have a name? Is it indicative of a particular manufacturer? Thanks for any help!
