I have shot several flats of these (1 oz., 7.5 shot, 1250 fps) over the last few years. I prefer something in the 1150-1200 fps range, but these are not bad on recoil , and they are available. They are good shells and I think that is a good price.

Both of the clubs where I shoot sell these and they have sold a whole lot of them over the past few years. They are the preferred shell of a lot of people I shoot with. One of the clubs was selling these for $93 the last time I checked and the other sells them for $100 plus tax.

They are good shells. I’ve shot them often. I heard recently that Dwight Lumpkin was out of the game and Dominic Bethel at the Meadows gun club had picked up rights to all of the Gamebore shells coming into the US for themselves.

I had that from a friend at a local club as well (re Dominic); supposedly no limit on purchase either

I asked the distributor what the antimony content of the shot was. They told me that both the Evo line and the White Gold line are 5% equivalent. The word equivalent is interesting. Maybe they use something else over there? Does anybody have any insight on that?

Something different than antimony? Not likely, antimony is the normal hardener and arsenic is the normal surface tension additive (for best roundness).

Probably they are heat treating (water quenching) the shot to get same hardness as most other 5% antimony shot. With proper quenching, 3% antimony will harden to the level of 5% antimony unquenched. But it's hardness that counts, not antimony content. So, "equivalent" is fine. Of course, all this depends upon whether the information comes from marketing folks, or manufacturing techs. :D

Shoot on pattern board and see if you are satisfied with it.

good luck, garrisonjoe

Popular budget shell over here but definitely not 5% antimony. They don't state the % but it's likely around 2%.

As for shot size, UK 7.5 is near enough the same as US 8.

Have you guys shot these shells before, and what do you think? The gun club is selling them for 93 a flat. They got all the configurations but I'm thinking 1oz. 7.5s 1250 velocity.
I have 40 flats of these. They are great shells. Been shooting them since Gamebore got back to the US.. both my wife and I shoot them. No problems thRu my A400 or our MX8s
