Can anyone with experience offer a suggestion on how to get the same color on the barrels and the monobloc? The mono bloc (and rib) are a deep black/blue but the barrels have a purple tinge. I know the chromium content of B/A steel is high and it contains other alloys too. I have no idea of the type of steel used in the monobloc but it obviously isn't the same hardness/corrosion resistance as the barrels, which are from an ASE Gold. I know it can be done by looking at the factory finish on ASEs & SOs. Thanks for any insight.

Call Glenrock. I'd stick with Rust Bluing.
Interesting book - but most of the chemicals they used without second though in those days will get you on a DHS watch list these days if you go try to buy them, probably even do a google search on them and the NSA will be by to say hi. :lol:
I'm not sure if Customstox is still doing rust bluing. You might look him up and send him a PM. He may have advise if nothing else.
