I have been told that there is enough tannin in black walnut hulls to tan many hides. My freinds go hunting every year for venison and will give me the hide free of charge. need to know if this is true or what is the deal. Also is there different techniques of tanning for different hides? I have searched the net but have not been satisfied with the answers as of yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 8) :
