Recoil plate vs. recoil pad

Hi,

I'm a relatively short shooter and I'm going back and forth between keeping the rubber recoil pad on my Speedfeed reduced LOP/youth/tactical stock or installing the hard "SWAT" recoil plate which reduces LOP by another inch. I like the idea of the cushioning of the recoil pad (never had a problem with sore shoulders with a pad) but I suspect I would prefer the handling of the slightly shorter stock. Has anyone had any long-term experience with shooting with a hard recoil plate and would have a recommendation either way?

Thanks,

Hi, I am relatively new to the forum, but I have an idea for you. Why not cut the stock off an inch and then reinstall the recoil pad? This might get you the shorter lop with the cushioning of a rubber pad.
