For 50$ I bet there pretty fun. You would have to go full choke to get a decent patter, but even then I don't think you could really get away with it. The patter will be wide open and unpredictable. Especially if your taking big jumps.. 12->410.

16->20 may work well and could be a nice way to get some better shell sellection. I really want to play with these things, hopefully someone has done it.

I'm tempted to get a 16>20 reducer, for better shell selection like the above poster mentions. This is especially true for steel, which is hard to find in 16ga. in sizes smaller than 4. A reducer is definitely cheaper than buying a new gun, and keeps you from switching from gun to gun, which in my opinion hurts consistency in shooting.
