I was given a large amount of B&P Competition One once-fire 20 gauge hulls. I'd like to load these on my spare machine as SC throwaways. I did a little on-line research and gleaned that I should use Federal data to reload them. So based on the components on hand, here's what I loaded (22.3g):

The result was a deeply dished crimp and a lot of recoil. It was suggested to me that using a 3/4 oz wad will solve the crimp issue and using a standard AA/STS powder drop will solve the recoil problem. My thought is "can't hurt" (w/ the stipulation I'm using new, not reclaimed shot through chrome line barrels).
