You've got to be crazy. A Special Field is just that, special. When was the last time you saw one? It was built to be an upland gun, thats why the shorter tube and English stock. Its probably my favorite Remington. In fact I'm having a 870LW 20ga. converted into one at this very moment. Buy the Special feild and carry it on a few hunts, you'll enjoy it. If anything it needs a longer barrel, maybe a 26 or 24".
