I recently found an 1100 28 gauge Sporting on the net with a 25" barrel and flush-mounted chokes. The seller sent me a photo of the end of the box and it reads "28 gauge Sporting 25" barrel, vent, remchokes. Was there a run of the Sporting 28 with this barrel length and choke combo before the 27" with extended choke model came out? Thanks. Good hunting and good luck.

Yes they made a 25" 110, 28 sporting.
I have one. It's a great dove gun.

They were standard on 1100/ 28 ga. guns for years until the 27" barrel became standard 2 years ago. I have NO idea why, as I have shot both and don't really see a major difference in handling, etc.
