[MN Tonester]

Visited an old farm couple last week to confirm permission to hunt their land. The lady of the house was wondering if I had any idea about an old pump .22 she had that used to belong to her father. The gun was in fairly good shape. Here is what I could gather off the gun (besides the Remington name and model number) Serial #715***, sh/l/lr, and some patent dates from around the turn of the century through 1914(?) [I might be wrong on the patent dates, but it listed three of them] Can anyone tell me about the gun and what it might be worth? Thanks!

My great grandfather bought one like that (but it was a winchester) in the 20's and it has been passed down and currently my mother has it. we even have a picture of him standing next to his horse with it.

I would also like to know what it might be worth, but mainly I want it for sentimental reasons as I got some of my early shooting instruction on that gun.

the trick will be getting it from my mother.. I wanna shoot it, not get it when I'm 70 years old.

I have a feeling they were common like catalog guns, but at least it is a genuine winchester branded one. I suspect the remington one is common as well.
