Thank you for that great addition to our knowledge base. I hope someone has the good sense to make it a "sticky" reference.

More confusion. All 3 guns are marked Breda which may refer to Acciaio Breda B-4 steel rather than the maker. Societa' Italiana Ernesto Breda was both a steel and gun & armament maker, but eventually separated the businesses. Many Italian makers used Acciaio Breda including Mario Beschi, Giuseppi Gitti, FIAS/Sabatti, Pedrazzini, and G. Bignotti.

The Breda Mark II SA was introduced in the U.S. in 1957 and marketed by Dakin Gun Co. (San Fransico then Kansas City) and others in the 60s. It is not clear if Breda produced a SxS.

I suspect, by looking at the catalogs, that Richland may have had different makers bid every year to build guns to a set price point. The model 200 always seemed to be a low end gun, the 707 was always a mid model. My 707 is marked Prandelli & Gasperini. Some, aren’t.
