Hi, I was considering a Rock River Standard A2 rifle for target shooting, collecting, and maybe even a little hunting. Does anyone have any experience with this gun?? I spoke with a local dealer who said that he was willing to order one but it would take 6-8 weeks for the company to make one that was "NY compliant". Any information anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. -Matt Latham

The Cities of Dallas and Ft Worth did extensive testing on AR variants. The only guns passing their test standards for an officer to purchase themself and carry it with them on duty after a class and qualification is,

Colt

Rock River Arms

Bushmaster may have been in there too.

Texas Department of Public Safety did their own testing and went with Bushmaster;
