MGF the 16ga is VERY under rated. A good light 16 is a joy to hunt roosters with!! Great guns!

Amen to that. All I've taken afield this year is 16s. Freezer's looking mighty fine!

I have shot my last 3 pheasants with a little Browning over-and-under 20 gauge with 2 3/4" one ounce 7 1/2's. They were all over points.

Shoot what you can carry the longest, some days Pheasant hunting you can walk for hours before you get an opportunity. For me my 1100 LT 20 with 3" magnums is my gun.

I shoot mod choke early in the season when the birds hold better and give closer shots, then like now in December I switch to full choke and 4 or 5 shot to really reach out there for those 40-50 yard shots.

Pick the gun that fits you the best, and shoot it. To me a 20 ga is no handicap if you can shoot it.
