Didn't you ever worry about screwing up your real knees, shoulders, collar bones, head?
Nice bike. I have a Domane also, but a 9 year old one before the disc brakes. Only a guy that loves his bike would shell out for carbon rims. The egg beaters and extra bottle cages tell me that you spend a lot of time in the saddle. I'm not too old (yet) but riding keeps me moving, gets my blood circulating, etc... I also enjoy the peace and quiet of riding.Well Huglu gang, my road bike days are officially over. I sold the Trek Dommone SL6 Disc today. That lady who bought it is a road biker, her and her husband stopped by and picked it up. Really loved that bike

Lot of hours on the road with it, thousands of miles, not a scratch or mark on it. Just could not take the risk of taking a tumble on it and really screwing up my artificial knees.

Head was protected by a helmet, really good one. But with those long screws holding the joint in place, should I break that bone, or the one holding the top part on, that would be a very major repair, one I would really not look forward to. Dr advised against it. Gonna shoot more sporting clays, joined an indoor handgun range, they also have a bow and arrow range. Will have to dust off the compound bow and get back into bow shooting. Maybe travel more, and complete my 50 state sporting clays adventure.Didn't you ever worry about screwing up your real knees, shoulders, collar bones, head?
Put it on a track stand!Well Huglu gang, my road bike days are officially over. I sold the Trek Dommone SL6 Disc today. That lady who bought it is a road biker, her and her husband stopped by and picked it up. Really loved that bike

Put it on a track stand!
"track stand" is when a rider balances the bike, clipped into the pedals, perfectly still. Waiting for the race to start, track racers just take off from a standing stop.Put it on a track stand!
I'm only 58 (its a state of mind!) and I have my share of two wheeled toys. I got rid of my BMW street bike a few years ago because its dangerous, but I have the dirt-bike, road bike, mountain bike and recently acquired an eMtb. I've been under the knife more than a few times because of my misadventures. I can't take my shirt off at the beach without people staring at the scars, so I don't anymore.Interesting. I'm 67 and have two Ducati's in the garage. One a '12 MTS, which I've put 120,000+ miles on (in 9 yrs) and my 'project' bike, which is a '07 MTS 1100S which I put a Panigale fairing on (that bike is SWEET!!!!). Last year, my brother had a little tip over, at around 45, and ****ed himself all up..collarbone broken in 4 places, shoulder blade in 5 places, 5 broken ribs, fractured arm and elbow + rotator cuff torn to hell. I'm thinking it might be safer to just cheek the Zoli at sporting clays and play Chopin and Beethoven at the piano.
After cataract surgery this morning, I decided this was the best advise I would ever get, so I took your advise, and spent some of the money on this"track stand" is when a rider balances the bike, clipped into the pedals, perfectly still. I think you mean rollers or a trainer. But that's a full up carbon Trek and the aero wheels that cost more than some Huglus. Putting it on a trainer would be like turning a Kreighoff into a wall hanger after giving up Trap.
Nah, let someone else enjoy it, use the money for something enjoyable, ride a more upright gravel bike or something like that.
