From 1930 until 1949 Savage made several versions of John Browning's A5. They were:

M720 Autoloader Standard - This was a 5 shot field gun. 26- 32" barrels. 12ga & 16ga

M720 Riot - Riot gun with various barrels. Savage/Stevens

M726 Semi-Auto Upland Sporter - A three shot version of the M720. 1931 to 1949

M720 Skeet Gun - Similar to the M726 with a skeet stock and a Cutts device. 24 1/2" barrel. 1936 to 1949

M745 Lightweight - Similar to the M720 but with an alloy receiver. 28" barrel 12ga only. 1940 to 1949

The Savage M720 series were solid utilitarian guns on the Browning patent and very similar to the Remington M11.
