Have a nice Savage/Fox Sterlingworth,serial 137xxx,12 gauge,28 inch. 1934 gun per Bushrod. Excellent bores and blue. No dings or scratches on wood. Traces of case on watertable and fences.Good color on receiver end of forend iron.All case gone from receiver but no rust.Is it worth recasing? Thanks ,Retiredreb

Btw...Is your sterlingworth a regular one or one of the through bolt models...I think 137xxx was the range for some of the experimential through bolt models Savage made in an attempt to find a less expensive way to make the Fox guns....an easy way to tell is the through bolt models have a wide straight tapered top tang with a machine screw head showing at tangs rear....
