I went to an auction preview and they had a couple of Savage / Fox / Sterlingworth shotguns.
Maybe it's a Savage Serlingworth?
I just bought the book on classic American shotguns and didn't remember Sterlingworths.
One was in very nice shape and the starting bid was up to $1,000.
As a kid in the 1970's I think I remember Fox listed in the Savage catalog, and then the 311's.
It was sort of tempting but I don't know anything about them.
Anyone?
