I have an older Miroku O/U. The gun is still tight open or closed but the top lever is a little passed 6:00. Is this gun still save to shoot or should I have a gunsmith have a look at it?
Thanks,

Herb S.

There's no way that anyone here could answer your question without seeing the gun... but we don't have to because you already answered it for yourself. If you have the slightest doubt if it's safe to shoot, have a gunsmith look at it.

Any smith familiar with the Citori action can deal with a Miroku because action is identical. It sounds like a worn locking bolt (unless the lever position has changed suddenly), normally a simple matter.
