I recently joined a trap club and am a newbie to the sport. Because of DNR\EPA regs, the club is forced to shoot steel. I've been using my Weatherby Orion 12GA Field 28" O\U with a full choke shooting singles. However, I recently discovered that anything tighter than Mod is not recommended with a steel load and my choke tube started showing it. I dropped down to Modified and the accuracy is worse than shooting full. I'm averaging 17\25 and some members are amazed at the distance shots I get with full and XFull.
Can ya'll offer any recommendations on a choke for this environment? Being a newbie, I'd be much appreciative.
