i recently ordered the 20 ga briley side kick gauge tubes for my 12 ga o/u. I know i need to try to see for myself, but before i begin what chokes are recomended? The reason I ask is that 12 sk/sk barrels have a much wider diameter than a 20 sk/sk and can anyone explain how or why both guages would pattern similar to each other?

Similar pattern refers to the percentage of total shot in say a thirty inch circle at XX yards. A 1oz 20 gauge size 8 shot shell holds the same amount of pellets as a 1oz 12gauge Size 8 shot load. So both guns shooting the same size load and choke would have the same amount of pellets in the 30 inch circle.
