I shot a 5 stand this weekend that had a target starting at my 2 o'clock, about 40 yards out. The target looped right to left, landing about 60 yards out at my 11 o'clock.
I couldn't hit it but talked to a guy that said he did hit it, giving it 8 feet of forward allowance on left, but shooting it high at the 10 o'clock postitiion at the target. I was shooting it about 7 or 8 o'clock, trying to follow the target path.
He said he shot it high, accounting for shot drop.
I didn't have a chance to go back and try his advice, but my question is on a really far out target, do you have to account for shot drop? Almost all targets I see are between 10-40 yards, and never thought about shot dropping.
