Are there any tips on how to get started in shotgun exhibition shooting out there on the web? I'd like to know about shooting techniques for hand thrown clays, shot sizes, chokes etc. It looks like allot of fun and I'd like to try it.
I don't know but I would speculate that 9 shot or smaller if you can get it and cylinder or spreader chokes, to answer a couple of your questions. If you look, you'll find that most all of the exhibition style shots are VERY close range, and given the styles used to create the excitement (one-handed, upside down, whatever...) I would think you'd want to give yourself the widest possible margin of error with pattern size.
But by all means, do as suggested above: ask an expert!!
