The "flash hider" is also known as a breaching attachment or breacher choke. Some are permanently attached to the barrel, while others are threaded and can be interchanged with other choke tubes.

For most of them, my opinion is that there is no real utility unless you're actually using breaching rounds for their intended purpose.

If it's a threaded barrel and the attachment could be replaced by a standard choke tube, then have fun experimenting. That's the only way to know if it work for you.

The only ones I've seen that claim to have evidence that they reduce flash & recoil are the ones from King Armory. I have no personal experience with these.
