a) I wouldn't be planning/publishing home defense strategies on the internet in a public forum if I were you.
b) Know your local and state laws before you incorporate a firearm as a home defense tool. For example, do you have a duty to retreat where you live? Is there castle doctrine where you live? "Stand your ground" laws?
c) If you choose to put a firearm and the strategies that go with it in your home defense toolbox, I would select an appropriate firearm and appropriate ammunition for that suit your specific self defense purposes.
