This week's Shotgun Journal show will be of interest to all double gun enthusiasts. Bruce traveled to the Southern Side by Side shoot held a couple of months ago, and you guys know how much Bruce loves a double gun.

I was booked as a speaker at an outdoor show near Atlanta and couldn't make the trip, but you can bet that Bruce turned over every rock there to bring you lots of side by side action.

Enjoy the show, and please let the Outdoor Channel know if you do.

Marty-

I saw this episode earlier this week (did they run it early by accident? It showed up on my TiVo). GREAT episode!!! I'd like to see a lot more coverage of the clays events... it's a lot more interesting to me than the bird hunting shows.

The factory tours and restoration pieces are also very interesting... please bring them back! I'd love to see the inside of the Krieghoff factory, as well as some of the old British manufacturers.

Keep up the good work.

Actually the show aired as scheduled. We're on three times a week: 11:00 am Monday morning,3:00 or 3:30 am Wednesday morning and Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm. All times are Eastern.

Glad you enjoyed the coverage. We don't do a lot of clay target events, primarily because the vast majority of our audience is more interested in wingshooting and because clays events are tough to cover without lots of cameras. I think we've got clay target events in about 1/3 of our shows this season.

We will continue to do the gun companies, special events and shooting tips as a part of the show, but most of the shows will be centered around wingshooting with lots of subtle hunting and shooting info included.

I must say that the line's pretty long for some of our trips. We're headed to Stuttgart, Arkansas on Sunday to hunt mallards at a private green timber club about 5 minutes from town on Monday and Tuesday. You'll see that show around Christmas.

Thanks for watching.

Marty,
I loved the show on the SxS guns too! I have a great idea on an American Classic shotgun for Shotgun Journal to restore, the Remington Model 32. Bruce even mentioned it as a gun he remembers from his youth on this episode. DelGrego and Sons gunsmithing in Illion, NY does work on these fine O/U's and has factory parts in stock. I've seen Bruce shoot a K-80 on previous shows so I'm confident he likes the design. I think viewers would really like a piece on the connection of the Remington 32 to the now K-80 from Kreighoff. Keep up the good work and keep the clays shows coming!

For me this show was the kind that sets The Shotgun Journal apart from the others. Great!
Let's see more of these Exhibitions/Competitions and more on the shotguns.
Outstanding show, the best for me this year.

that was a great show. dang it, made me want a sxs. that old winchester of your fathers is absolutely beautiful, and i enjoyed seeing some things i'd heard about, but never seen like wenig's stock of blanks. that was impressive.

of course we'll be in stuttgart for the arkansas duck opener, so if you need more guns let us know. it is really dry here, so hopefully your timber has been levied and pumped up. good luck to you.

The club we're humting borders "The Big Ditch" and Bayou Meto, plus they've got pumps for guaranteed water, so I think we'll be fine. We tried to go there late last season and the water was too high. Hopefully there will be a few birds around.

Thanks again to all for watching.
