Here in Southeastern Il. there seems to be a shortage of primers,W209's and the rumor is Rem209's will be gone by 01-2006.EVERYONE has cheddites-any scoop would be appreciated.p.s. shot=16.00 per bag,gas=2.05 gal -11/17 :lol: :lol: thanks send me your local prices

Winchester is shipping primers again -- and still not divulging any reason for the production hiatus.

Remington primers are in short supply from having to take up the slack created by the lack of Winchesters.

If you're getting shot for $16 a bag, consider yourself lucky. It's $20 and up around here, plus tax.

Gas is $1.97 at Wally World.

And we're living in the best of all known worlds.

I buy my Winchester 209's by the case (5,000). I still have around 4,000 left from the last case and haven't been shooting as much lately due to the high gas prices (gas is any where from $2.13 (today in Berlin wast of Hartford) to $2.25 in town). The last time I bought shot it was $17.50 per bag for Star Shot mag.
