I've got a couple of friends who have slings on their shotguns but of course they can't remember what brand they are. They don't attach with swivels, they attach directly to the barrel and then loop around the stock. You can carry your shotgun slung something like you would with a tactical sling on an AR. If you are walking a lot over rough ground it seems to help the fatigue. Anybody here seen a sling like that or have another suggestion.

Thanks for the help

saw one in the gun section of Dick's sporting goods tonight. did not pay it any attention. But if Dick's carries them they must be pretty common. Try cabelas and bass pro shops if your local stores do not have them.

Thanks for the suggestions, I checked them out and they aren't what I'm looking for. I'm going to keep searching and if I find what I'm looking for I'll post a review.

Both Cabelas ad Macks Prairie Wings have shotgun slings the at do not require sling swivels. I haven't tried them but they look functional.

This is an interesting search. I looked at my friend's sling yesterday. It has what appears to be a rubber or nylon clip that attaches over the barrel, attached to that is a plastic sling swivel. The only sign of a name is "Quake" on the sling swivel.

I checked their website but I don't see a sling on there that looks like this one. They do show a plastic sling swivel. I e mailed them about the sling but I suspect that they swivels were made by them and the rest of the sling by someone else.

This is interesting, even if I didn't want the sling now I want to find out who built it.

On my turkey gun I bought a Super Sling by Outdoor Connection. One end slides over the butt of the gun and the other end has a replacement tube cap/swivel adapter. No drilling, screwing, etc and it's easily removed.

When I bought mine they only made the tube cap/swivel adapter for Remington products. So, I also bought an Uncle Mike's replacement tube cap/swivel adapter.

I bought both at Cabelas but I couldn't find the sling online there today. Perhaps it's out of season. The Uncle Mike's adapter was online at www.cabelas.com. You can find the sling at www.bassproshops.com.
