I found a nice Beretta Silver Pigeon II sporting at a price I am willing to pay. My only concern is that it has 30" barrells. Will that be an issue when I use it for hunting? Does anyone have any experiences with this gun -- good or bad -- that they would be willing to share?

Remember that an o/u doesn't have the added length a pump or an auto does from the receiver. It will be like using a 28 inch pump or auto. Shouldn't be a problem when hunting.

Chinaski,

I have one for sale if you're interested - fired less than 1,000 rounds. Asking $1,200 and it has 28 inch barrells. The longer barrells help me "aim" better but I prefer the shorter barrells in the field. I'm sure there are a ton of opions on barrell length. I guess they're like backsides, everyone has one. Whatever works for you is the best.

If you're interested, you can contact me at [email protected]

It is one of the worst guns I' ve ever had..........

Strong recoil and not killing the game.

I sold it and bought a Fabarm. STL model is unsurpassed
