I was given a SKB 12 gauge auto but I'm not sure of guns details. Wood stock, Ducks Unlimited and forward of shell loading slot it reads SKB 90 DU 3014. What do I have concerning model, etc. and approx. value.
Many thanks
Yessir that's the way she is printed/stamped. If this e-mail format does what I want to show then here is the way it appears: SKB
90 DU 3014
Appears forward of trigger and loading slot
Should I be looking somewhere else on this gun? Only thing I see on the barrel is For 12 GA 2 3/4" and 3" shotshells and Made by new SKB company Japan NP. Sure is a pretty gun with neat hunting scenes.
Thanks SKB ID'ed my 12 ga shotgun as a 1990 Ducks Unlimited series of MDL 3000. It's a DU sponsor gun whatever that means. I want to sell this gun at an upcoming auction and need some idea of its value.

I have the same gun new in the box 90 DU 3495. Was wandering the same thing about value. SKB 12 auto gas. None of the paper work gives a model number only that it was made for Ducks Unlimited. Pheasant scene on one side and a duck scene on the other with the DU logo on the pistol grip.
It is not only in like new condition, it has never been assembled and only the stock has been touched with gloves. Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it.
I have an SKB from the 89 DU banquet. It is the model 1900. I've only had it for a year, but it has been a great gun. I was told that there was some kind of deal with Weatherby at the time - they mfg'd it.
The gun you have is an SKB Model XL 900 or an Ithaca/SKB model 1900, depending on who you ask. They were imported by Ithaca for a while. The 90 is the year it was made. The number, I believe is the edition number since these were a limited edition made for DU. A nice used version will retail at a normal gun shop for around $350. (I paid $325 for mine) It should have nice duck scenes on both sides of the receiver, the DU logo on the receiver and a DU button on the pommel. The wood on mine was absolutely beautiful. A new version might go around $500 or more depending on who you are selling it to. Just keep in mind that these guns aren't really that collectable and a new 11-87 can be had for under $600.
That being said, they do make a beautiful hunting gun for comparitively little money. And no one will have another one like it.
