Hi all, I posted this topic in the General forum but didn't recieve many responses and an admin said I might have better luck in this forum.
Has anybody had any experience with SKB shotguns? Shot them/handled them/known somebody who has? To me, they look to be excellent guns, and I especially like some of the features - long forcing cones, backboring standard, etc.
More specifically - what about the Model 885 (there's a used one at Gander Mt. for $1200 - is this a good price)? I have also been browsing their website and I like what I see - the 585 Sporting Clays Model (with porting) looks to be exactly what I want and it's right at the price I like - around $1800 MSRP. And maybe if I really splurge I could get the 85TSS with porting, but that might be a bit on the high side money-wise ($2100 MSRP).
So I guess my question now is this: From what I see, SKB guns seem to be very nice - can anybody confirm/refute my assumption?
