I've always heard the easiest way to pluck them is to roll them in mud and let it get hard then crack the mud off. I don't' know whether it works or not though! Browning, The Best there is because second best is well...second best.
It all depends on how you want to eat 'em. I have a buddy with this duck plucker thing on his drill. It has rubber teeth and pulls the fethers right out. It's about 90% effective. You can pluck by hand of course, but gaddets are cool. With the pluck meathod you can cook a duck like a store bought chicken. I prefer the skin method. Just skin the darn thing and the feathers stay with the skin. Then get some cream of esparogus soup adn toss it all in a crock pot for a few hours. good stuff.Cabela's Drill Duck Plucker:www.cabelas.com/cabelas/e...ction=jump Let the dog hunt the birds, ... you hunt the dog.
