If you have manufactuer's instructions, go with what they say. You should be ok shooting the older rifled "Foster" type slugs out of the more open-choked barrel, as long as they are not loaded too hot. For details and opinons on this, you should scroll down a bit and read the thread called "Slugs," Started by Paul in this forum a few days ago. It should give you most of the info.
