Snow

Snow! at last. This is the second weekend in a row that has brought precipitation to the San Bernardino Mtns. Hopefully this is just the beginning of a wet or even "normal" winter. I've been out for quail 7 times so far with no luck . There simply are no birds due to the drought.
We had one wet year in the last 9 and almost like magic we had quail. We had as many as 3 hatches and that really did wonders for the quail population.
I'm getting my Brittany back from the trainer next week and we'll be out most days for more training with the gun and hopefully he'll find birds where I have not.
