It's truly sad that Sporting Clays has become like the ridiculous political climate where everyone is told you don't have to work hard ( practice) . No one will ever hurt your feelings and tell you no when you're wrong. Or in this case you're not as good a shooter as you think you are.
It plays out time and time again local heroes shooting high scores at their home clubs. Making excuses not to shoot elsewhere because they can't handle the possibility of something they have never seen before or take the risk of showing their true abilities. As their fragile shooting egos can't handle failure and are unwilling to truly work hard at the sport.
And it's not just the shooters . The clubs throw targets that make sporting clays no better than skeet or wobble. Slow in your face targets no imagination etc.etc.
Winning with skeet up to IC and or Muller Os to ones is well .... bravo well done. You broke skeet and wobble trap grade targets .
The system is flawed . Make sporting clays an average based system ? Don't let folks refuse down classing ? I hope someone does something soon . The sport has gone soft. You need to travel to Regional , State and Big Blasts to find quality targets anymore.
