I'm considering placing an order for one of the Guns Unlimited Omaha exclusive Brownings. Has anyone purchased from them? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Oh man! Have I ever bought from them! Rifles, pistols, shotguns, ammo, cases, gear, clothing, even fishing gear at their old location probably 40 years ago!
Currently have a gun on lawaway there that I don’t need.
They’re big donors to the local school trap teams too, if that matters.

@EricB Since you have so much experience with them you might be able to answer another question. Do you know if they negotiate at all? My local dealer always has some wiggle room in their prices, but I wasn't sure if Guns Unlimited uses the fact that they have exclusives as "the price is the price, take it or leave it".

Totally depends on the item. I’ve gotten them to lower the price (or increase their trade offer) but not every time. Honestly, since I want them to stay in business, I don’t mind paying their asking price when I’m buying something I intend to keep. Spread out over the span of decades, a few dollars doesn’t amount to much. My kids can worry about resale value.
Never hurts to ask though.

I have not bought any guns, though I have lusted for some. Every time I drive through Omaha on the way back east from Denver, I arrange my trip to be able to get there before 6 pm when they close. I have spent many $1000s on reloading components. I was there most recently in October. They are a Downrange wad dealer if you like DR, and I do. This last trip was powder, shot and wads.

It's a great place.

My father in law and I have purchased 725 trap combos from them. Exceptional service. Both guns arrived at our ffl when promised and perfect. I asked Matt over the phone to personally choose the furniture he thought was the nicest. I will never know if he did or not but I was not disappointed. I’m saving to add a 725 high rib sporter to my safe. Can’t wait to place the order.

old post but how do you like the high post? How does it compare to the 725? What disciplines do you shoot with it? ty or if anyone else can chime in, thanks.

Anyone who purchased the Universal Hi-post with adjustable rib, give me some feedback and how you're using it? ty

I would suggest you call them and talk to them about the gun you'd like. I did, and they were very helpful.
I am looking for user experience with the gun. I called and asked a couple of questions, and they seemed a little grumpy.
There is not much information available on people's experiences and the specific disciplines they are shooting with it.

Zuma, I still feel it is a great bang for your buck. And I have recommended it to friends. It is great for singles trap. And I know most people don't care for the Gracoil system but, for the money it has more adjustability that 2K units and it truly does help with recoil.
Now for doubles I needed to make the recoil piston harder. In other words, I need to make it stiffer (more felt recoil for me ) in order for the inertia trigger to reset for the second shot.
That made it mildly counterproductive for me.
If I could do it again I would prob go with the 725 trap with the gracoil system. Mechanical triggers, unaffected by inertia. Also I think the 725 trap has a great palm swell and grip radius. Maybe even get it with that Maple wood which look great if you ask me.
GU website and AD's show this model we speak of in a dark looking , mysterious shadow with the Shilouette of the 725 shape, but not what you get. The GU universal Hi-post has a straight stock with a minimal palm swell and the lightning forend.
Not dissing it by any means...afterall its a Citori at heart and will last a lifetime. If 70/30 POI is ok with you get the 725 trap or if you need to adjust get the 725 Pro trap.
You won't make a mistake either way, just decide what is more important to you and what disciplines you intend to use it for and go from there.
Good luck....

I was looking to use it for all three sports, if possible, I can get the High Post in Maple... I already have a 60/40 Rizzini mid post, so that's why I am looking for the adjustable.

I was just in the store Tuesday, June 17, on my way back from Mppls to Denver. I bought shot and Downrange wads. I handled a Citori Special Sporting Universal High Post 12g in maple. Beautiful gun. They also have it with adj comb and Gracoil system. If I was looking for a trap gun to replace my XT Trap, I would buy one of these in a second. I also shouldered a standard rib Spec Sporting with adj comb and Graco. They have that only in walnut. I may order one to replace my 525 Grand Prix.
