Does it have a Patent Date on it? Like April 20, 1915? Between their 1927 catalogue and their 1929 catalogue J. Stevens Arms Co. began using the Springfield Arms Co. name on their lower priced line of guns. Prior to that it was Riverside Arms Co.

J. Stevens Arms Co. introduced their single trigger on their No. 330 double in their June 21, 1932, price list, calling it a No. 331. By their March 15, 1933, price list they offered their Springfield doubles with single triggers as well, the No. 3151 S.T. and the No. 311 S.T. By the way, a No. 3151 is just a No. 315 with a recoil pad and twin ivory sights.

Posting some good pictures of your shotgun would help a lot towards answering your question.
