I just did something along those lines. I took my brand new 1100 Classic Trap out to a nearby Trap club and fired at my first clays in over 30 years. I'd forgotten how much fun this was! I can see it's going to become addictive *immediately*. My first round was an 18, which isn't anything to write home about, but after so long, I felt fairly pleased.

The club I shoot sporting clays at shoots clays every Jan 1. "Start the year off with a bang!!" is how they sell it. Now I have a real reason to have Jan 1 off.

Well last night, the wife & I plus several other family members were over at my brother-inlaws for a small get together type dinner. He had talked to me about a single shot bolt action .22 rifle not firing. Well after I got home I worked on it past midnight. Found the problem & got it to working. I need to do a complete breakdown & clean the action. I'll do that sometime this week. His dad had given him this rifle back in the 50's & was his first firearm. I started the New Year with a good deed & did it as the New Year was ushered in.
