Have some questions:
1. Can I shoot occasional steel / heavy shot loads through factory or Briely chokes up to MOD?
2. Do you think IC can handle a rifled slug (the ones for smooth bores)? Not going to shoot it all the time, but would like to have this option just in case

There is no problem with anything you mentioned. However, I would suggest, skeet in one barrel and IC in the other as my choice. Hevi Steel is some mighty tight shooting stuff. The more open choke will work bests. That skeet bore is ideal for the slug. You could use the extra full when shooting slugs but that skeet choke will work best. Stay away from using your full choke with large steel shot, like F, T, BBB, BB or B.
